Caitlyn Jenner defends voting for Trump: 'I'm not a one-issue voter'”

Caitlyn Jenner now says US President Donald Trump, the man she voted to elect last November, is "toxic" when it comes to LGBTI community.

When questioned by CNN host Don why she voted for Trump and his administration, despite his history of "flip-flopping" on LGBT+ issues, Caitlyn argued that "he has in the past been supportive of LGBT issues". "And so, over the next year or two, I would look at where I can be more effective to helping my community", she said. "I'm not stupid. The Republican party does not do a good job when it comes to equality and the entire LGBT community". "I had found out the week before they were promoting that". "If that is the case, I would seriously look at a run".

"What I'm doing today is more important than winning the (Olympic) Games 40 years ago", she said.

Jenner's situation is a complex one, and she will continue to face criticism from her own community, especially as she continues to support the Republican party.

"I was no more a woman the day before I had the surgery than I was the day after I had the surgery".

However, she hit Trump hard for his decision to roll back protections given to transgender students under President Barack Obama.

She said she previously discounted running because she had "too many skeletons in my closet" before she came out as a transgender.

Cardinals: Infielder Jhonny Peralta was put on the 10-day disabled list because of an upper respiratory condition. Cardinals: OF Dexter Fowler, who left Friday night's game with right heel bursitis, remained out of the lineup.

Jenner reaffirmed her Republican leanings, saying that she's always "believed in something called the Constitution and limited government", and that the GOP leans closer to limited government than the Democrats, in her opinion. As such, the Olympian-turned-reality-star says she's been asked by fans and people in the LGBTQ community to run for public office.

"First of all, I'm not a one issue voter".

"I'm not ideal. I've made mistakes with a lot of things over the last two years".

"I did vote for him. But I've tried to learn from those mistakes, I try to a better job next time".

"My loyalty is not with Donald Trump", she told Meyers. "My loyalties are with my community and fighting for my community". "But my loyalties are not with the Republican Party".

Jenner revealed she hasn't spoken with Kris since her ex said everything in Caitlyn's book is "all made up" on Sunday night's episode of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians".
