The Hidden Bombshell in the Comey-Trump Story

The Hidden Bombshell in the Comey-Trump Story”

In light of Lawfare editor Benjamin Wittes's recollection that former Federal Bureau of Investigation director James Comey-after trying to blend into the curtains-had been "disgusted" by Trump's attempt to hug him at a White House event in January, former Clinton staffer Philippe Reines released a video of Hillary Clinton practicing dodging his advances during debate prep. Pope Francis, take note.

Comey, who Wittes said "stood in the back, right in front of the drapes, hoping Trump wouldn't notice him camouflaged against the wall", went to shake Trump's hand.

The above video was shared by Philippe Reines, a "long-time Clinton confidant," who also played the role of Trump in debate prep.

After seeing Reines' Twitter post alluding to the Trump-Comey moment, Clinton tweeted later on Friday, "I burst out laughing when I saw this video this morning".

What to know about North Korea's latest missile test
Beijing has cited United Nations resolutions for all of its measures against North Korea. However, Russia said it fell 310 miles (500 kilometers) from its coast.

Sound familiar? Just last night, the New York Times published a story with remarkable details about former FBI Director James B. Comey's interactions with President Trump. Thus Comey uses his larger vantage point to maintain a handshake even as Trump moves in to create a hug.

The fake Trump approached Clinton with his arms wide open, inviting a hug from the former secretary of state. "Bad enough that he was there; bad enough that there would be a handshake; he emphatically did not want any show of warmth", Wittes wrote.

He attached a low-quality video of Clinton and him practicing introductions for the debate, where he walked up to her and tried to hug her while she jokingly ran away. "If you look at the video, it's one person shaking hands and another hugging". Trump joked that Comey has "become more famous than me".
