Apple allows users to tip content creators

Apple allows users to tip content creators”

The update comes with a number of updates, but perhaps the boldest change is to the App Store. There is no filtering or approval process for them, so sketchy app developers can pay to have their apps listed high in search results.

In its App Store Review Guidelines, Apple said: "Apps may use in-app purchase currencies to enable customers to "tip" digital content providers in the app. Apps may not include buttons, external links, or other calls to action that direct customers to purchasing mechanisms other than in-app purchase".

The Cupertino giant has brought in a series of new taxation policies to its app store. I mostly discovered that I've still got a ton of calculator apps on there, for whatever reason, and a lot of writing apps, too. However, some social-networking apps have likened Apple's tactic to arm-twisting, as reported by the Wall Street Journal. Over a year the developer would earn $960,000, of which 30 percent would go to Apple. Citing an App Annie report, he added that the App Store had generated twice the revenue of Google's Play Store in the March quarter.

Top Charts had a ripple effect on the increasing popularity of featured apps or viral apps therefore demoting it to a second click will impact burst campaigns that developers did for user acquisition and may even dilute the effect of charts induced virality.

British police name third London Bridge attacker as Youssef Zaghba
But police said that they had no warning of a plot and that their investigation of Butt had been shelved. Those cuts resulted in police personnel being drawn down from 2010 to 2016 by more than 20,000 officers.

Apple's solution certainly provides a better user experience than custom alternatives, particularly since it allows rating an app without needing to visit the App Store.

Apple is changing that with iOS 11 on the iPad, and we think it was certainly the most impressive thing to come out of WWDC 2017.

The notion that something like this appears in the App Store - which Apple is supposed to keep close tabs on - is noting short of infuriating and inexcusable. Developers do it because getting reviews and ratings on the App Store can be a big key toward developing a reputation for anyone who is looking for quality apps on the App Store.

Apple's push for making ASO a central piece in the new App store is also interesting to note because Apple has been pushing for Search ads in the App Store as another way of increasing revenues via paid app installs that has been dominated by Facebook in the last few years. It may even make people more interested in leaving a review, because it can be done without exiting the app and because it means they'll be done with the prompt for good.
