Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions Coming to 3DS

Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions Coming to 3DS”

We haven't gotten to step foot into the quirky Beanbean Kingdom since Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga released on the GameBoy Advance back in 2003. Superstar Saga is a Mario role-playing game that is something of a spiritual successor to Super Mario RPG and the Paper Mario series. This mode will allow players to take on Captain Goomba's epic quest to save Bowser and will reportedly be nearly as long as the original Superstar Saga campaign. The title is a remake of the original Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga and features a new mode called Minion Quest.

The game's been given an aesthetic overhaul as well, with the same pixel artwork from the original game, according to Nintendo, but 3D lighting added to make things prettier.

Call for Action at UN Ocean Conference

This new game features updated graphics and a brand new mode, "Bowser's Minions". It's a game all its own, and a meaty one at that according to Nintendo, with strategy elements that allow you to become your own bad guy troop battalion leader.

New Goomba and Koopa Troopa Amiibo were also announced, although Nintendo hasn't yet confirmed what functionality they will bring to the game. While much of Nintendo's news at E3 focused on games for its Switch, it's still supporting the aging 3DS portable with games like this and Metroid: Samus Returns.
