Interactive Spider-Man Can Be Your New Best Friend

In true Spider-Man fashion, the toy drops an endless supply of one-liners, but it's also smart enough to have a conversation.

Thanks to a pair of LCD displays, Spider-Man's expressive eyes match those in the comic books.

Thanks to Disney's friends from Sphero, you can now join forces with Spider-Man and enter the Marvel Universe like never before with their voice interactive Spider-Man toy. Only at times when you come across better cinematic, these will be used.

Put simply, this is a toy with intelligence. Will you be picking one up? "Unhand me, you fiend", and when I shook it, he said "Shake your super hero booty".

It has just announced its latest licensed property, and in case both the headline and picture didn't give it away, it's Marvel's troubled teenage hero, Spider-Man. You turn off this mode by telling Spider-Man to "Stand down". This is why Sphero is making sure the toy will have voice recognition built in. That's why there isn't a camera and Spider-Man isn't always listening.

What people traveling to Cuba should know about Trump's restrictions
In addition, the US President is also expected to restrict permission for Americans to visit the island, The Guardian says. Trump is planning to outline changes during a visit to Miami on Friday, where he'll appear at the Manuel Artime Theater.

In a way, it feels as though the Sphero Spider-Man is a little like an extension of the Force Band released for Star Wars' remote control BB-8 past year, which not only allowed people to control the Sphero BB-8 with gestures, but also acted as a walk-around augmented reality game, much like Pokemon Go except with Bluetooth, an accelerometer, and a physical controller.

The Spider-Man toy also has a built-in infrared sensor, so it can react or talk when it detects someone walking by. He even appears to do so, but it's a ruse.

Opening July 7, director Jon Watts' Spider-Man: Homecoming stars Tom Holland, Donald Glover, Jacob Batalon, Laura Harrier, Tony Revolori, Tyne Daly, Bokeem Woodbine, Marisa Tomei and Robert Downey Jr.

Video games haven't been kind to Spidey in recent years, and a lot of game fans would likely agree that 2004's Spider-Man 2 - loosely based on that year's Sam Raimi-directed film he same name - was the last title that truly captured the feel of becoming the wall-crawler.
