Employees at Alfred Angelo's corporate office in Delray Beach left the building en masse on Thursday, carrying boxes, plants and other personal belongings, as social media talk swirled that the bridal retailer was closing its doors.

The apparent end of Alfred Angelo is completely of out the blue for those at R.K. Bridal and other bridal stores around the nation.

The company's store in Sunrise was closed Thursday night and had a sign in the window directing customers to call a law firm and in Coral Gables store employees would not comment, WFOR-Ch. We have never received them.

"I was here last week and nobody said anything", said a teary Jessica Dearing.

"I tried to call, nobody was answering", said bride Sarah McCallum who learned about it over social media.

"So they went to place the phone down and it fell off the hook". "They're not answering the phones".

At the store Friday afternoon, most of the lights were off and the doors were locked.

The Miamisburg location closed for good at 8 p.m.

Alfred Angelo has two other locations in MA, in Danvers and Dedham.
