Man killed 4 after feeling cheated in drug deals

Man killed 4 after feeling cheated in drug deals”

On a Friday night a week ago, three men got out of a pickup truck on a sprawling piece of rural Pennsylvania real estate. His disappearance was reported to the authorities the next day. Patrick, who was a year behind DiNardo at a Roman Catholic high school for boys, was last seen on July 5; the other three disappeared on Friday.

According to court documents - which can be viewed here - the men were all killed after marijuana deals went sour. Teens regularly circulated DiNardo's number, he told the newspaper.

Dinardo and Kratz also face charges of robbery, abuse of corpse, possession of instruments of crime, and conspiracy. They drove him to Dinardo's family property at Lower York Road in Bucks County.

"We have now received the official announcement of the death of Jimi Patrick, Class of 2020".

The following day, Dinardo told police, he and Kratz returned to the property, where Dinardo used the backhoe to dig a deep hole and bury the tank containing the three bodies, the affidavit says.

The district attorney explained Friday that he offered to take the death penalty off the table in hopes of securing DiNardo's cooperation in locating the body of the fourth missing man, Jimi Taro Patrick, 19, of Newtown Township, whose remains were located in a single grave "up on top of a mountain". The details were provided after one of DiNardo's lawyers said Thursday that DiNardo had confessed to murdering the missing men, who included a Maryland college student, and had told investigators where their bodies were.

"I don't know what convinced him (to confess)".

Many people, she said, were trying to convince themselves this is nothing that could ever happen to their kids.

Bucks County District Attorney Matthew Weintraub told NBC Philadelphia DiNardo tried to sell Tom Meo's 1996 Nissan Maxima that was found on a family property in Solebury Township. DiNardo picked Kratz, his cousin, beforehand, and they drove to Finocchiaro's residence in Middletown Township.

As part of the confession deal with prosecutors, DiNardo also identified the co-conspirator in the murders during their talks, according to Daily News.

It's unclear how well the four knew DiNardo, if at all.

On Thursday, his attorney was in Philadelphia court to request a continuance for further investigation in that case. When Dinardo was headed to Finocchiaro's home, he stopped and picked up his cousin, Kratz, and, court documents note the pair came up with a plan to rob Finocchiaro instead.

"I'm sorry", DiNardo said Thursday as he was led into a police van. A second victim's vehicle was also found less than 3 miles away.

Once their bodies transported on the property of the parents Dinardo, they would have been burnt in a roasting pan for the pigs.

Kratz was arraigned through video conferencing conference at the magristrates office, before DiNardo was formally arraigned.

The body identified was that of 19-year-old Dean Finocchiaro. Dinardo then shot Finocchiaro when he was laying on the ground, according to the affidavit. He put them in the same metal tank as Finocchiaro and poured gasoline in it and lit it.

"There was an attempt to burn the bodies, to obliterate them, but I don't believe that was successful", Weintraub said.

Authorities have arrested the son of the property owner where the search is underway on an unrelated gun charge, WTXF reported, and are holding him as they try and figure out the relationships among the men. They have a construction company and cement. An attorney for the family, Fortunato Perri Jr., said in a statement that they were not connected to the alleged homicides. DiNardo was accused of illegally possessing a shotgun and ammunition after being involuntarily committed to a mental institution. Kratz was held at Northeast Detectives Thursday for Bucks County authorities to pick up and question. The suspect remains in custody on $5 million cash bail.
