New Orleans Pelicans sign Rajon Rondo

New Orleans Pelicans sign Rajon Rondoā€¯

Rajon Rondo may not be the player he once was, but the high variance that comes with the point guard makes his situation with the New Orleans Pelicans a potential high-risk, high-reward situation.

The Pelicans did not now have a traditional backup point guard after trading Tim Frazier to the Washington Wizards for a second-round pick.

The New Orleans Pelicans aren't done building their backcourt.

The deal joins Rondo with fellow Kentucky Wildcats Anthony Davis and DeMarcus Cousins, plus ex-Cat Darius Miller has also reportedly agreed to sign a contract with the team.

128GB Samsung Galaxy S8+ variant gets a price cut
Samsung also plans to sell only 400,00 units of the Note 7 Fan Edition unless if they see a reason to make it available globally. For connectivity options, the smartphone offers 4G VoLTE, alongside Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a Micro-USB port.

Detroit Pistons renounce rights to Kentavious Caldwell-Pope
However, the front office is said to prioritize shooting , which is an area the former Pistons guard could desperately improve. The Detroit Pistons have renounced their rights to Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski .

Sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski and Zach Lowe on Thursday that Pelicans officials - which included general manager Dell Demps and coach Alvin Gentry -? met with Rondo and that it went "excellent". Rondo was in-and-out of the Bulls lineup last season but by the end played well for them at the point after the All-Star break and finished the season averaging 7.8 points, 6.7 assists and 5.1 rebounds a game.

He owns a championship ring with a title in Boston. He did, however, set a career high in 3-point percentage with his mark of 37.6 on 1.9 attempts per game and was instrumental in the first two games of Chicago's first-round playoff series against Boston - both wins - before suffering a thumb injury that ended his campaign.

Rondo is not always quick to pass the ball, so that will be an adjustment, though he did play well with Cousins before.

Rondo has played with three teams over the previous three seasons (Dallas, Sacramento and Chicago).
