Four GOP Senators Likely to Reject Healthcare Repeal Back Trump the Least

Four GOP Senators Likely to Reject Healthcare Repeal Back Trump the Least”

"I have got Alan Greenspan, Jeb Bush and Steve Bannon" behind the bill, Graham said, according to the Times.

On Tuesday afternoon, the Jimmy Kimmel Live host teased on Twitter that he'd have some harsh words for the Graham-Cassidy healthcare bill now circulating in the Senate.

"We have no real competition", Portman says."We have 42 of our 88 counties only have one insurer now, which is not competition".

A bipartisan group of governors is again calling on Senate Republicans to give up on their effort to repeal Obamacare and pursue a bipartisan plan instead.

"The governor should understand how it would put a very huge burden on the state to cover whatever is not able to be paid for with that block grant money", said Marthela Johnson, a volunteer with Arkansas Community Organizations.

"What is being circulated is by those who wish to preserve Obamacare, and they're doing everything they can to discredit the alternative", Cassidy said.

Republican Sens. Lindsey Graham of SC and Bill Cassidy of Louisiana are the sponsors.

Special procedures protecting the GOP bill from filibusters - which take 60 votes to block - expire September 30, and after that Democratic opposition would guarantee its defeat.

Democrats urge full review of Republicans' 11th-hour attack on Obamacare
Meanwhile, Graham told Breitbart on Saturday that almost 20 Republican governors had already pledged their support of his bill. That timing is crucial because Republicans controlling the Senate 52-48 have only September 30 to succeed with just 50 votes.

Cassini's finale: NASA's last photos from their 20-year Saturn mission
This idea was introduced in the early 1980s, but Cassini has already shown that it's more complicated than previously thought. California time on Friday, Cassini entered Saturn's atmosphere, plummeting at a pace of about 77,000 miles per hour.

Tesla adds driving range for some owners escaping Irma
That owner, according to Tesla , did not have the current base Model S or X with a 75 kWh battery pack. The hurricane had previously killed 23 people and devastated a series of Caribbean islands.

"If you asked any conservative up here-'Would you vote for a brand new trillion dollars in taxes, trillion dollars in spending and then we'll call it federalism by redistributing it and giving it out to the states?'-most people would laugh at you. In fact, this bill is even worse than the one that thank god Republicans like Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski and John McCain torpedoed over the summer".

The Senate's longshot Obamacare repeal bill is starting to look possible.

Cassidy and his chief co-sponsor, Sen.

But the Graham-Cassidy bill does not contain those guarantees. To pass it, GOP leaders will need the votes of Republican senators whose states will receive less money so that other states can receive more.

The pressure is on because Republicans are attempting to use a procedure known as budget reconciliation to pass the bill.

So states that want to cut ties with Obamacare can do so, but states that want to keep Obamacare will have that authority as well.

Many Republicans have condemned Paul for obstructing what they believe to be the GOP's last chance to repeal Obamacare.
