At Least 6 Killed In Northern Kenya School Attack”

Turkana County Commissioner Seif Matata told Kenya's Daily Nation newspaper that the suspect "was heard telling fellow students that he is going to burn the school or he will come back and avenge because of the suspension". The student who hadearlier been expelled over indiscipline, was arrested at Kakuma while trying to flee.

Members of the Toposa tribal militia from South Sudan, 200 kilometres (124 miles) to the north, are believed to be responsible for the attack with Matata alleging that a suspended student participated in the raid.

About five students have lost their lives with one security guard.

"The suspect was accompanied by three other suspects when they descended on the watchman and shot him dead".

He is said to have left and headed straight to the boys' dormitory where he and his gang selectively shot dead five students and he is said used a torch to identify those he wanted to kill.
