Mobile Limiting High-Speed Data in Canada, Mexico to 5GB

Mobile Limiting High-Speed Data in Canada, Mexico to 5GB”

The company T-Mobile unveiled that from November 12, it will bind the unlimited LTE data to 5 GB monthly at the time of traveling to United States neighbors.

Additionally, you may have fewer data to enjoy with on the off chance that you aren't subscribed to an unlimited plan. We all know that "unlimited" really isn't unlimited though and when the T-Mobile One plan debuted it had a cap of 32GB of use per month before data prioritization. All the same, this limits T-Mobile's interest to jet-setters.

T-Mobile is one of those carriers that like "breaking away" from its competition by coming out with a pretty good sale or coming up with a major perk that other carriers don't dare to do. Once the 5GB limit is used, customers will still get unlimited data, but it will throttled to "Simple Global speeds", which is about 128Kbps.

Customers will now have a maximum LTE data limit of 5 GB in Mexico and Canada, after which they will be reduced to Simple Global speeds, meaning up to 128 kbps for most plans or 256 kbps with T-Mobile ONE Plus. We reached out to the carrier to ask if it could provide statistics on how much "abuse" of the plan was occurring, but have yet to receive a reply.

North Korean Hackers 'Stole' US-South Korean War Plans
While the attention Wednesday was on air power, upcoming US-South Korea naval exercises could further aggravate tensions. A spokesman from South Korea's Defense Ministry declined to comment, saying the information is classified.

The mobile carrier said that it wants to improve and make a decision to "prevent usage beyond the intent of the product". You can also check overall data usage by dialing the short code #WEB# on your device.

The plan is named 'Mobile Without Borders' and it lets the customers be connected even while they travel to Mexico and Canada. Either way, T-Mobile says that less than 1 percent of users who travel to either country use over 5GB in a month.
