Three Richard Spencer Fans Arrested For Trying To Kill Protesters”

In an interview in Gainesville Thursday, October 19, Colton Fears, 28 of Pasadena, Texas, explained to New Times reporter Zachary Fagenson why he wore a Nazi death's-head pin to a University of Florida speech by white nationalist leader Richard Spencer.

Gainesville Police charged 28-year-old Tyler Tenbrink and brothers Colton and William Fears with attempted homicide.

Police say at least two of the men have connections to extremist groups but didn't immediately identify which ones. Tenbrink was also charged with being a felon in possession of a weapon, stemming from an arrest in 2009 for aggravated kidnapping of a female acquaintance in Texas. One of the protesters also hit the Jeep with a baton before Tenbrink opened fire, according to Slate.

The men, who traveled from Texas to attend Spencer's controversial speech, are accused of shouting chants about Hitler, making Nazi salutes and firing a gun at a man with whom they were arguing, Gainesville Police said in a press release. Police said that's when Tenbrink got out of the vehicle and took out a handgun while the Fears brothers yelled "shoot them" and "kill them", according to the report.

William and Colton Fears then yelled "I'm going to (expletive) kill you", and Tenbrink fired one shot at the victim, missing him and hitting a building.

An eagle-eyed witness remembered the Jeep's license plate number, which proved to be a big break for police.

Ford recalling 1.3 million F-series pickups
The company said the cost of the recall was estimated to be $267 million, and would be reflected in its fourth quarter results. Despite the hit, Ford said that it still expected to earn between $1.65 and $1.85 per share for the full year.

Palestinian factions Fatah and Hamas sign reconciliation deal in major breakthrough
Further information will be announced at a noon news conference (10GMT) in Cairo , where unity talks between the rival factions began on Tuesday.

Just before 9 p.m.an off-duty Alachua County Sheriff's deputy who had worked the Spencer event earlier saw the men's vehicle. The Fears brothers were each being held under a $1 million bond. The other two suspects, who are brothers, allegedly encouraged Tenbrink to shoot the people in the group.

Police said that no one was injured. "It appears that the only answer left is violence, and nobody wants that".

Leading up to the start of the event, audience members at the Phillips Center for the Performing Arts began to boo before Spencer even took the stage. Police say the Jeep drove about 10 feet and stopped.

Heather Heyer, 32, was killed in Charlotesville on 12 August 2017, when another white supremacist rammed a auto into a crowd of pedestrians protesting against the "Unite the Right" rally, yet another violent Spencer-backed event.

Before Spencer's speech, the Sun had spoken to Tenbrink and the Fearses.

Outside, hundreds more people protested with signs and anti-Nazi chants alongside hundreds of police officers there to prevent violence.
