Nassar victims demand answers from Michigan State University, USA Gymnastics”

Nassar's sentencing hearing has been set for January 12 when all of the 125 victims or their parents will be allowed to give victim impact statements. In the wake of the court case, Olympic medal victor McKayla Maroney spoke out against her sport's governing body, and the team for the way they handled the years of abuse that many athletes faced at the hands of Nassar. Raisman had called for an end to shaming of sexual assault victims, stating that how a woman dressed should have no bearing on how allegations are viewed.Douglas, however, responded by stating that women had a "responsibility to dress modestly and be classy."Dressing in a provocative/sexual way entices the wrong crowd", Douglas wrote in a tweet that was later deleted".

While the case against Nassar uncovered a decades-long sex abuse scandal within USA Gymnastics, the former president of the organization was forced to step down this year.

In a statement after the plea in court on Wednesday, Vassar's attorneys, Matt Newburg and Shannon Smith, said that the "agreement resolves all the charged and uncharged conduct for more than 125 cases now under investigation by the Michigan Attorney General's office".

"I'm so sorry that this was like a match that turned into a forest fire, out of control", he said.

"I want people to know that I really didn't know what was happening to me", Raisman said on the Today Show earlier in November. I just want healing.
