Man Charged with Sexually Assaulting Sleeping Spirit Airlines Passenger

Man Charged with Sexually Assaulting Sleeping Spirit Airlines Passenger”

Sexual harassment and abuse on airplanes is a largely unreported but prevalent issue for passengers, according to a report by the Seattle Times.

When Celia* fell asleep onboard the Spirit Airlines flight from Las Vegas to Detroit on January 3, she could not have imagined the horror she would wake up to.

She revealed that the man was pushing his "fingers in her (privates) and enthusiastically moving them". She woke up to the man touching her.

The woman immediately reported the incident to flight attendants who said she "appeared visibly upset and was crying".

However, when Ramamoorthy was questioned by another agent he claimed that he "might have" un-done the woman's bra to play with it and that he touched her inappropriately, according to the complaint. Additionally, he told authorities that he attempted to put his finger in her vagina "but was not successful", according to the complaint obtained by the paper.

Aspyr Media has ported Civilization VI to the iPad
Aspyr's FAQ points out one difference: The iPad version's multiplayer modes work only on a local network "as of this point". But the requirements are hefty: Civilization VI requires iOS 11 on an iPad Air 2, iPad 2017, or any iPad Pro.

Before talking to the Federal Bureau of Investigation agent, however, Ramamoorthy claimed that he had been in "deep sleep" while the assault allegedly happened, and that the victim had fallen asleep on his knees. Whalen encouraged Ramamoorthy to appeal the detention order.

Since he isn't a U.S. subject, Ramamoorthy could ask for the legislature to inform his nation of origin to help him with legitimate portrayal and to contact family, lawyer Amanda Jawad of the U.S. Lawyer's Office said in court Wednesday.

Stephen Schuler, a spokesman for Spirit, said it was cooperating with law enforcement on the incident.

Authorities say the victim fell asleep leaning against the window and that she woke up to a hand in her trousers, and noticed her trousers and shirt were unbuttoned.

Furthermore, in October 2013, an enjoying some downtime Delta Connection pilot situated in Detroit was blamed for stroking a 14-year-old young lady on a flight from Detroit Metro Airport to Salt Lake City. The attendants kept the woman in the back of the plane and offered her a different seat, and while they were talking to the victim, Ramamoorthy's wife came to the back of the plane to see what was going on.
