Princess Charlotte's nursery look”

And after photos taken by the Duchess of Cambridge were released by Kensington Palace to mark the special occasion, all eyes were on the little girl's adorable outfit - especially her pink pony print rucksack.

Adding a red bow, Charlotte also sported a pale pink knit scarf and a pink backpack featuring a horse print design from Cath Kidston.

Starting today, Charlotte will be a full-time student at Willcocks, where she will take pottery and poetry classes.

In the previous year, Princess Charlotte has moved house, been a bridesmaid at her aunt Pippa Middleton's wedding and found out she's going to be a big sister.
