Dolores O'Riordan Laid in Repose Ahead of Her Funeral Tuesday”

It's an honor typically reserved for dignitaries.

The Metropolitan Police attended the scene and determined O'Riordan's death to be non-suspicious, the officer saying: "A post-mortem has now been carried out and the court is awaiting results of various tests that have been commissioned".

Thousands of fans gathered at a Limerick church to bid farewell to a fallen star: one who had touched their hearts, who had touched the nation.

O'Riordan's songs were softly played throughout the service and her photographs lined the walls.

"We come to offer a heartfelt greeting to a deeply loved and cherished daughter of Limerick".

Family, friends and fans, as well as former minister for defense Willie O'Dea and former minister for education Jan O'Sullivan, were in attendance at the four-hour service.

O'Riordan will be finally laid to rest on Tuesday after her funeral, which is due to take place in Limerick also.

Dolores O'Riordan has been laid in repose in her hometown of Co.

Her mother and six siblings were in attendance, and her Cranberries bandmates left a floral tribute beside her coffin which read. The religious O'Riordan wore black and held two pearl rosary beads.

Following today's viewing, her coffin will be moved to Cross' Funeral Home in Ballyneety for another public viewing tomorrow.

Her funeral mass will take place on Tuesday morning in St Ailbe's Church followed by a private family burial. She'll be buried next to her father, Terry, who died in 2011.

Following her death, her boyfriend and D.A.R.K. bandmate Ole Koretsky said "the love of my life is gone".
