Apple questioned by United States agencies about slowing iPhones

Apple questioned by United States agencies about slowing iPhones”

US authorities are investigating Apple's (AAPL) slowing of older iPhones, according to published reports.

Apple's statement comes amid reports that the Department of Justice and the Securities and Exchange Commission have asked Apple for more information about the software update from last January.

Then on Wednesday, ZDNet's sister-site CNET received a statement from Apple acknowledging it has "received questions from some government agencies", and is in the process of responding to those questions. For example, PhoneDog takes great pains to point out that Apple had apologised for not being clearer about its actions after the news of its performance-throttling updates came out. The company is close to signing a deal to purchase land in India's tech hub of Bengaluru and will likely invest $157 million to develop the site, two government officials say.

We sought to further improve the customer experience in December by announcing a significant discount on replacement batteries for certain iPhones. A new iOS update will be available in the next month where users can see how healthy their batteries are and can turn off the feature where their phone is slowed down.

Apple acknowledged that it had released a software update with the feature past year and said that the solution would address flaws in batteries that had become old and didn't operate to their full capacity.

The Daily Mirror independently reports that United want to receive a similar fee to the £13/14m they paid Ajax in 2014. They would not want to sell it now, but only in the summer, the price is good, but the operation is hard .

Apple is working overtime to make amends with angry iPhone owners after revealing it slows down performance on older models.

BMO Capital Markets lowered its rating for Apple shares to market perform from outperform on Wednesday, predicting weaker-than-expected sales for the company's March quarter.

As part of its solution, Apple cut $50 off the price of an iPhone battery replacement, making it just $29. Our goal has always been to create products that our customers love. Japanese screen maker Sharp and Korean LG are already gearing up to compete with Samsung for iPhone X display orders.

Customers were upset that the company did not tell them about the feature, and many thought it was an attempt to get people to upgrade to newer iPhone models. In general, Apple doesn't allow customers to opt out of individual aspects of an update; it's all or nothing.

Senator John Thune, a Republican from South Dakota, criticized the company's lack of communication in a letter to Apple CEO Tim Cook.
