Venezuela opposition weighs election run after talks end”

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro will be running for re-election as the candidate of Venezuela's United Socialist Party (PSUV).

The election, to be held on April 22, was announced hours after the collapse of talks between the government and opposition over the terms of the vote.

The opposition said that the lack of an agreement was due to the fact that the government did not want to respond to the demands for "transparent elections".

His foes are split about whether they should run against him.

Earlier on Wednesday, the opposition warned the government to refrain from making a "unilateral" decision about when to hold elections. The most popular figureheads are both unable to run; Henrique Capriles is barred from office while Leopoldo Lopez is under house arrest. "Nicolas Maduro is a president elected by the population's will and is not the result of a coup d'état, as the case of Michel Temer in Brazil, nor of a pseudo-legal strategy like Donald Trump in the United States, who was given two million votes less than his rival in the 2016 elections, but he "won" by the way the votes were counted", he said.

Although North Korea claimed he had contracted botulism in detention, Trump has since alleged that he was tortured in custody. Hundreds of North Korean officials, athletes, cheerleaders and artistic performers are also expected to attend.

Redskins considering franchise tagging Kirk Cousins before trading him
If they end up doing so, the first day to franchise players is February 20th. "But I do expect to be a free agent, but we'll see". A talented roster with three possibly zero quarterbacks entering 2018 seems like a great fit for Cousins.

Beall, a longtime engineer who retired last summer, said railroads have invested significantly in improving crossings and signals. After a recent round of train accidents and budget tightening he'd voiced concerns something could happen to him on the rails.

But other opposition activists say they have to keep up pressure by voting, and an upset could occur given public disgust at growing national penury.

Julio Borges, the opposition spokesman in the talks, claimed that the government did not attend a meeting yesterday and that he has not even received the proposal following the comments they submitted.

Sponsored by Medina and former Spanish prime minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero, the dialogue had support from representatives of the Chilean government at the request of the Venezuelan opposition, while Maduro's government had invited Bolivia, Nicaragua and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines to participate.

Maduro, meanwhile, has been revelling in near-daily campaign speeches.

Maduro has also been distancing himself from his charismatic predecessor, the late Hugo Chavez. Meanwhile, analyst Gustavo Espinoza rejected the campaign of media manipulation against the Bolivarian process and against Maduro, who, he said, will come to defend the sovereignty of his country and the region and condemn the arrogance of the USA government.
