A Top ICE Attorney Has Been Charged With Stealing Immigrants' Identities”

Sanchez, who is the agency's chief counsel in its Seattle branch, was charged Monday with stealing several immigrants' identities to acquire money and property.

Sanchez is charged with one count of wire fraud and one count of aggravated identity theft, both are felonies.

Sanchez devised a scheme to use immigrants' identities in order to defraud financial institutions including American Express, Bank of America Citibank, Discover, and JPMorgan Chase, according to a charging document, which was entered in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington.

In or around October 2013 to October 2017 Sanchez stole and used the identifies of seven immigrants for his own financial benefit.

But the charging document in the case says Sanchez emailed himself identifying information from seven immigrants "in various stages of immigration proceedings" before ICE, and then tried to open credit cards in those people's names.

Additionally, the court documents claimed that Sanchez had used R.H.'s social security number and birthday.

Ex-Everton boss Koeman appointed Holland coach
The former Everton manager's first opponents will be England in a friendly at the Johan Cruyff Arena in Amsterdam on 23rd March. He succeeds Dick Advocaat , who stepped down after the team's failure to reach this summer's finals in Russian Federation .

Defense attorney Cassandra Stamm in a statement Thursday referred to Sanchez as "a good person who has made serious mistakes", the Seattle Times reported.

Prosecutors said that, on April 18, 2016, Sanchez sent emails from his official ICE address to his personal email containing a copy of R.H's energy bill, as well as photos of his US permanent resident card and a Chinese passport.

Over 15 million people each year have their identity stolen.

According to court rules, the type of charging document filed in Sanchez's case - called an information - can be filed only when a defendant has agreed to waive his or her right to be indicted by a grand jury; it's typically an indication that a plea agreement is in the works.

A Justice Department official told BuzzFeed News Sanchez resigned from the agency effective Monday, the same day the indictment against him was filed. And a few weeks before that, ICE raided 7-Eleven stores around the country in what The Two-Way reported was the largest action against one employer since President Trump took office.
