Microsoft releases Photos Companion app for Android devices

Microsoft releases Photos Companion app for Android devices”

The app is aimed at making it easy for Windows 10 users to transfer their photos and videos from mobiles to their Windows 10 desktop.

Once your phone and the Windows 10 Photos app are "paired" after that barcode scan, you're able to batch send multiple photos to the PC over the same Wi-Fi network. Click "Import" then "From mobile over Wi-Fi", which then presents a QR that the user scans, finally select the photos or videos for transfer and voila! Note that you must also use a company account if your app accesses financial account information as described in policy 10.8.3.

Have you been facing issue while transferring your photos to your Windows PC? As we mentioned, your devices need to be on the same Wi-Fi network to let you successfully transfer content.

Microsoft's new photos app for iOS and Android lets you quickly transfer pictures to a PC

Microsoft has launched a new iOS app intended for iPhone users who like taking pictures. Because, before the launch of the app in 2017, the app product team has conducted visits to the various European and U.S. classrooms to see how teachers shared the content which is in their mobile device to the classroom PC, and to encourage them to use the app for this goal.

According to Microsoft, when its Photos app was redesigned in 2017, the product team headed out to various U.S. and European classrooms to see how teachers were incorporating videos and images into their curriculum, and to encourage them to use the app. This way there is no requirement of using the same Wi-Fi on the mobile and PC to transfer. "This would enable students to transfer media to their own computers ... or to a shared, project PC ... without worrying about network speeds or mobile data charges". However, the app seems important for students and educators.

Download the Photos Companion app on your iOS device from App Store, or for your Android device via Google Play Store.
