The quake occurred at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at depth of 4.5 miles about 12.5 miles northeast of Swansea, according to the BGS.

The British Geological Survey said: "Events of this magnitude only happen in the United Kingdom every two to three years".

The quake has been trending on social media, as the aftershock was felt over 100 miles away. "The whole building just shook!??"

At 2:30pm on Saturday afternoon, Wales and the West of England were hit by an natural disaster, reported to have reached 4.7 on the Richter scale.
