Suspicious package sent to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, reports say”

According to a report by London's Evening Standard, an anonymous letter addressed to the couple was sent to Kensington Palace on February 12 and officials say it contained racist messages and a suspicious white powder.

The package was investigated by Scotland Yard before it reached the couple, and the white power was later found to be harmless.

"Police are investigating after a package containing a substance was delivered to St James's Palace on Monday, 12 February", police said in a statement.

They are also believed to be examining whether there is a link between the two incidents. Markle and Prince Harry were informed of the incident.

"The wedding service will begin at noon [7 a.m. EST] on 19 May at St George's Chapel".

The Met Police tested the substance and said it was not harmful. The Evening Standard newspaper says it contained a racist message.
