Neymar may miss Champions League clash vs Real Madrid with fractured metatarsal”

Neymar posted a photo on social media of his ankle in heavy strapping after being taken off on a stretcher in tears during Paris Saint-Germain's 3-0 win over rivals Marseille on Sunday.

The Brazilian picked up an injury in his side's Ligue 1 clash against Marseille on Sunday, which has anxious the club's staff and players since.

"It is true that, today, the chances of Neymar being ready [to face Real Madrid] are smaller than they were last Sunday [after the Marseille game]", he said.

Emery added he did not feel he made a mistake by letting Neymar play against Marseille despite the crucial Champions League match looming.

The club also confirmed that Neymar's compatriot, defender Marquinhos, has a grade one left quadriceps injury.

Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has predicted Real Madrid will progress from their Champions League Round of 16 tie with Paris Saint-Germain, the second leg of which takes place on 6 March in Paris.

"Neymar is the first who wants to play every game, for Real Madrid, he is very focused".

Snow showers expected for Limerick amid warning of 'exceptionally cold weather'
The national forecaster warned of potential disruptions to power lines, roads, railroads and even cuts to mobile phone services. A cold snap is set to hit Ireland over the coming days and disruptive snow showers are likely, according to Met Eireann .

But Emery has provided a welcome injury boost for the French giants, claiming Neymar could yet be fit to face Los Blancos.

In a report filed by Globo Esporte suggest that Neymar is expected to remain out of action for four weeks.

"The first exams reveal a twist", Emery said.

"We'll see the passing of the next few days to make a decision". "We're going to do some extra medical tests".

But to play the World Cup, which is his priority, Neymar should be fine. We talk often and it's important that he's at the top of his game, in the best shape possible.

This will come as a huge blow to the French giants as they will now have to overturn the 1-3 reverse to Real Madrid in the Champions League without the mercurial forward.
