McMaster Could Leave White House by End of Month”

Army Lt. Gen. H.R. McMaster could leave the White House and be replaced as National Security Advisor as early as next month, NBC exclusively reported on Thursday, citing five people "familiar with discussions".

It said the replacement plan was drawn up by Defence Secretary James Mattis and chief of staff John Kelly. CNN reported last week that the Pentagon was looking for a military job for McMaster. "Remember the Dirty Dossier, Uranium, Speeches, Emails and the [former White House Chief of Staff John] Podesta Company!"

There have been many reports of Trump being angered by some of his ultra-hawkish statements, the report said. He was on the National Security Council from 2001 to 2003 during the administration of former President George W. Bush.

The White House had no immediate reaction and said it had no personnel announcements.

McMaster has had a fractious relationship with President Donald Trump during his year on the job

McMaster replaced former national security adviser Michael Flynn amid controversy surrounding his meeting with a Russian diplomat.

McMaster got his job in the wake of Michael Flynn's scandalous departure after just 24 days on the job.

One of many remarks that drew the president's quick rebuke was McMaster's comment at a forum in Germany that Russian meddling in the USA election was "incontrovertible", according to the report. We have a lot of positive things happening within this country, and that's happening under the direction and the leadership of President Trump, and we're going to continue to big and great things over the next year under his leadership.

"McMaster told an audience at the Munich Security Conference in February that Russian Federation had engaged in a "'sophisticated form of espionage" against the U.S.in a futile attempt at disruption.

Both have reportedly worked with Secretary of Defense Jim Mattis on what has been dubbed the "axis of adults", a group tasked with brining order to Trump's often chaotic administration.
