PAOK owner wanted by Greek police for pitch invasion”

All fixtures in the Greek Superleague have been suspended indefinitely after PAOK president Ivan Savvidis invaded the pitch with a gun during a match at the weekend.

Vasileiadis, who is Greece's Deputy Culture and Sports Minister responsible for sports, said Greek sporting authorities were "in open contact with UEFA" and would be holding meetings with the Greek soccer federation later Monday to discuss further moves.

Tempers boiled over on the sidelines and PAOK owner Ivan Savvidis took to the pitch with a gun and a holster at his side as he made his way to the referee.

Tensions were high with the match still goalless between Greece's rivals deep into the second-half, but PAOK thought they had come away with three points as Fernando Varela found the back of the net in the 89th minute. As a result Sunday's decisive Super League contest against leaders AEK Athens will take place in front of spectators.

In the spring of 2015, Greek Parliament ratified a bill aimed to tackle violence at stadiums, but incidents during this year's season indicate that more work needs to be done.

The league suspension is the latest stopgap measure adopted by the Tsipras government to maintain order in a championship spiralling out of control.

The Greek Superleague match against AEK Athens was officially abandoned.

Kirby said the airline would reach out to employee work groups and changes made would "better reflect your feedback". Many consumers criticized the move on social media, and both journalists and analysts ridiculed the program.

This was after Olympiakos fans clashed with police on February 4 after a shock home defeat to AEK dealt a serious blow to their title defence.

That sparked angry scenes in the stands and numerous people entered the pitch, including PAOK owner Ivan Savvidis and his security team.

You've probably also witnessed the odd occasion when a team's coach gets so riled up that they get a bit too close with a match official after a particular decision is made.

Images showed Savvidis on the pitch with his bodyguards, carrying a gun in a holster and attempting to confront members of the AEK backroom staff including Vasilis Dimitriadis.

"We are continuing the battle for transparency and better football".
