Even James Comey Supports Andrew McCabe Firing”

Former FBI director James Comey said in an ABC News interview on Sunday that US President Donald Trump is a risky, "morally unfit" leader doing "tremendous damage" to institutional and cultural norms.

"The President, the press secretary, other spokespeople have called him a liar, a leaker, a political hack".

In an interview with NPR's Morning Edition, fired FBI Director James Comey defended his controversial decisions during the 2016 campaign and asserted that the reputation of his agency - which operates under near daily siege from the president and his allies - "would be worse today had we not picked the least bad alternatives".

The book offers Mr Comey's version of the highly controversial events surrounding his firing by Mr Trump and the investigations into Russian election meddling and Ms Clinton's email practices. He also defends him in private.

"A person. who talks about and treats women like they're pieces of meat, who lies constantly about matters big and small and insists the American people believe it, that person's not fit to be president of the United States, on moral grounds".

"What amazes me.is that he made a decision to send the letter to the Hill because of a political consideration, and that political consideration was he put it upon himself to be anxious about whether or not the next president of the United States was going to be considered legitimate", Palmieri said. Even so, pre-orders of Comey's book, "A Higher Loyalty: Truth, Lies and Leadership", have already pushed it to the top of best seller lists.

ABC News is being slammed by some critics for a poorly produced interview with former FBI Director James Comey that aired on Sunday night after a massive editing job.

Comey also thinks it's possible that President Donald Trump might be compromised by the Russians.

Reuters and other news outlets have obtained copies of Mr Comey's book before its formal release this week.

3rd death reported in IL linked to fake weed
The Illinois Department of Public Health has reported a third death linked to synthetic cannabinoids since early March. Public health investigation indicates that synthetic cannabinoids were likely contaminated with brodifacoum.

For the first time since being fired as Federal Bureau of Investigation director, James Comey speaks out.

Comey, who was sacked in May 2017 by Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein before Trump later took credit for the dismissal, said there are already positives coming out of the problems he perceives.

How did Comey's first appearance go, ratings-wise?

The FBI has long tried to operate as an independent law enforcement agency. I don't think he's medically unfit to be president. "I would explain to these bright young lawyers that, like all great gifts, this one comes with a responsibility, a solemn obligation to guard and protect that reservoir and pass it on to those who follow as full as you received it, and maybe even fuller".

During the tax cut roundtable in Hialeah, Fla., Trump praised the missile attack, claiming that "every single one hit its target".

Comey repeatedly compares Trump's behaviour to a NY mafia don.

He says there's "certainly some evidence of obstruction of justice", though he notes that he's just a witness in the case and not an investigator or prosecutor. He publicly announced 11 days before the election that he was reopening the email investigation.

"I did not go into the business about people peeing on each other", he said.

"My reaction was, 'I'm going to get the information out.' I know the information is true and if I'm ever asked about it, of course I'll tell the truth about it", Comey said.
