Trump accuses Mueller of 'meddling' in mid-term elections

Trump accuses Mueller of 'meddling' in mid-term elections”

"It wasn't just a wiretap against a campaign aide...it was secretly gathering information on the Trump Campaign...people call that Spying...this is unprecedented and scandalous.' Mollie Hemingway", the president wrote in a series of tweets.

President Donald Trump is accusing special counsel Robert Mueller's investigative team of "MEDDLING" in the upcoming midterm elections and blames Democrats for "Collusion".

As Congressman Eric Swalwell (D-CA) defended Robert Mueller's investigation from Donald Trump's latest slams on Sunday, he insisted that the probe's continued existence doesn't mean that Trump's presidency is in dispute.

Recent reports have suggested that an Federal Bureau of Investigation informant - a former academic who worked in several presidential administrations - approached multiple members of Trump's foreign policy team, including advisers Carter Page and George Papadopoulos. "There was no Collusion, besides by the Democrats!"

The president finished up his paranoid rant by stating he had more important topics to attend to - although one has to wonder why he even brought up the issue at all and dedicated most of his attention to it on Twitter Tuesday morning if he's too busy with other subjects.

Trump's claim is his latest attack on the credibility of the Russian Federation investigation as being politically motivated, is a significant new step, CNN said.

He tweeted twice more about the investigation before promising to get back to work.

Democrats say briefings did not support Trump's claim of Federal Bureau of Investigation 'spy'
Clapper sought further to clear it all up in a friendly interview with Judy Woodruff on the PBS NewsHour last night. The briefings were organized by the Justice Department and the Office of Director of National Intelligence.

Acclaimed author Tom Wolfe dead at 87
His agent, Lynn Nesbit confirmed his death. "All the same, he was one of the most modest and kindest people I have ever met". His biggest hit, " The Bonfire of the Vanities ", was a lacerating satire of money, power and NY life in the '80s.

Asked whether Mr Trump was trying to discredit the Mueller probe by calling it a "witch hunt", White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said: "I think the President is stating a fact".

Gowdy's comments are a significant pushback against the president and his allies who have contended that the FBI's use of an informant amounted to explosive political proof that the Obama administration embedded a spy in his campaign - an accusation that hasn't been backed up by any available evidence.

Trump's former campaign manager, Paul Manafort, is among 19 individuals and entities indicted by Mueller.

Trump has pursued an aggressive strategy towards Mueller in recent weeks, as talks over a possible interview between special counsel and president continue.

Giuliani's remarks Tuesday that Trump won't be interviewed "until they decide whether they are going to give us the documents or not" run counter to his earlier statement that Trump is eager to speak with Mueller and that he committed no wrongdoing. And his lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, told Fox News earlier this month that Trump fired Comey because the FBI director wouldn't publicly state that he "wasn't a target" of the Russian Federation investigation.

Trump tweeted Wednesday that he wished he had not appointed Jeff Sessions to be attorney general.
