Iran first World Cup team to arrive in Russian Federation

Iran first World Cup team to arrive in Russian Federation”

Russian Federation was held 1-1 by Turkey in the hosts' final friendly before their June 14 FIFA World Cup opener here against Saudi Arabia.

The goal was not enough, however, to give Russian Federation a much-needed and morale-boosting win heading into their opening World Cup match against Saudi Arabia on June 14.

Stanislav Cherchesov's side have five wins, six draws and nine defeats since the former Russian worldwide goalkeeper took over in August 2016. Turkey were not much better, mustering only two shots on goal for the entire match, but one of them, a strike from 25 yards by Yunus Malli in the 59th minute, was enough to level the contest at 1-1.

Midfielders: Alexander Erokhin, Yuri Zhirkov, Daler Kuzyaev (all - "Zenith"), Alexander Golovin, Alan Dzagoev (both from CSKA Moscow), Roman Zobnin, Alexander Samedov (both "Spartak"), Yury Gazinskiy (FC Krasnodar), Anton Miranchuk (Lokomotiv Moscow), Denis Cheryshev (Villarreal, Spain).

Turkey, who did not qualify for the World Cup finals, almost added a second goal in the 79th minute when Malli's shot floated just over the crossbar.

Trump floats management changes instead of sanctions for China's ZTE
Their reaction could complicate Trump's efforts to win concessions from China that would narrow a $335 billion annual trade gap. Either the United States would have to nearly stop buying entirely from China, something that would hurt American consumers.

"We have achieved this dream through lots of hard work and sacrifices, which only heightens how honored and privileged we feel to be here".

A daunting task faces a dejected Russian team that will kick off its World Cup campaign as hosts trying to avert the 2010 World Cup prospect endured by South Africans.

Germany forward Leroy Sane promised that his omission from the world champions' squad would strengthen his resolve as he made his first comments since being left out of the final 23 on Monday.

Chile, at No. 9, is ranked highest of teams not at the World Cup.
